Southern Cross Station Clock Launch

This event was 130 years in the making. Melbourne’s historic Water Tower Clock was first erected at Flinders Street Station in 1883. It was the master clock, off which the state’s entire rail operations, including signalling, ran. In 1910, it was relocated to Spencer Street Station [now Southern Cross Station], where it sat for nearly 60 years. It was an iconic feature of the city skyline in the 1800’s and 1900’s and was often the first sight of Melbourne on arriving in Melbourne by train. It was decommissioned in 1967 and eventually became a museum piece, before the decision was made to restore and reinstate the clock to Southern Cross Station. We were engaged to create and deliver a safe and well managed media event for the unveiling of the refurbished Southern Cross Station Clock. We provided:

• audio, lighting, rigging, staging furniture hire signage design and production.
• a post event report covering event logistics, management and outcomes.
• integrated media management.
• screen content creation and animation for the clock screens.
